Session Timeout

Please keep in mind that Session timeouts are required for HIPAA compliance and can not be completely removed.

When someone is using the system normally, the session timer is reset each time a document is submitted or a new page is opened. There is an automatic timer that starts on each page, and if the system does not receive any input for 20 minutes the "Are you still working" modal should pop up. Clicking ok on that modal simply allows you to save what you are working on and continue using the system without logging back in. Clicking "I'm still working" will not save the document or re-start the timer.

Pressing the Google Chrome refresh button is a good way to reset the timer without having to go to a new page. Under normal use, it is not necessary to reset the page, but it will never hurt anything and guarantees the user that the session is still valid and that they are not logged out, so we recommend this practice.
