Switching to a new system can be anxiety-inducing because you do not know what to expect. Therefore, there are many things that you will need to figure out before determining the right system. You may also wonder if someone will be available to help you.

Our Process

When you connect with our sales team, they will ask you questions about your facility. From these questions, we will be able to customize your platform to suit your needs. Each facility is different, so we understand that everyone’s platform will not be the same. With this customizable feature, your staff can easily navigate the system. Also, with this first call, there will be a tentative date given when the platform will go live. 

Team Members Remain in Contact

A team member will stay in contact with your team throughout the entire process. When a decision is made about the customization of your platform, our team will show yours how to navigate it. The great thing about this stage is the collaboration between our company and yours. We will get to know one another and build rapport while building your platform. 

The team members you choose to administrate your platform will then be trained on how to navigate the system. They will learn the processes and procedures of the system and will be able to ask questions. By this point, all the lists created in the original call have been checked off, so your members will be able to learn about the system without features being added later. 

Before the System Goes Live

A couple of weeks before the system goes live, Lightning Step will import your facility’s current census. In the meantime, you will continue to put your data into your existing system. Once the system is ready to go live, the team will use your patient admissions from the past two weeks to train your team on how to use our All-In-One system. 

A couple of days prior, a specialist will be assigned to you and assist you beyond the date the platform goes live. If you have more than one location, a specialist will travel to those locations. We want to make sure your team can navigate the system easily at any site. 

Continuing Training

We offer on-site training so the specialist can come to your facility, or you can choose to do the training virtually. The specialists will stay at your facility two to seven days after the “go live” date. This is to ensure your questions are answered that arise after using the system. Further, there may be some information or questions that were not covered during the initial training. 

Group Training

After the system goes live, the specialist will train your team by group, including: 

  • Admissions team 
  • Clinical team 
  • Technicians 

Each group has a different job, so it is easier for everybody if they are trained based on their job titles. Most facilities can be trained in two to three days, and the dates should not be scheduled around holidays. This gives our specialists adequate time to train your staff and answer any questions. 

Ease of Implementation

It is an easy process to begin using our All-In-One system. Our staff will customize your platform, ask for your suggestions, and keep you updated every step of the way. When you begin using Lightning Step, your charts will be imported into the system using a PDF file. You will have access to your client’s information, and the new patients will be imported at the go-live date.
